“2919 Wilshire” is a commercial development in Santa Monica that features a unique mix of a food hall and a daycare. The food uses share common circulation and seating fronting Wilshire Blvd while the daycare is tucked away behind the food uses on two levels. The daycare also has an outdoor “play” area for the children on the rooftop and features a cantilevered metal mesh enclosure that protrudes toward the hard corner. The project shows a sleek contemporary design that artfully accentuates the synergy of the two uses.
